2025 Awareness Day
Awareness Day campaign
International Mastocytosis & Mast Cell Diseases Awareness Day unites patients, advocates and the medical community to drive research, improve treatments and foster understanding.
Join us on 20 October to raise awareness and support research. This year, our theme is “Be informed, be connected” – because knowledge empowers. When we understand our condition and connect with others, we can create change. We’ve even designed a theme logo to unify our campaign:
The logo will be available in nine languages in the coming days.
This Awareness Day, and throughout the weeks that follow, we’re proud to share new patient fact sheets, international survey results and interviews with leading doctors — made possible through the support of our Platinum Sponsor, Blueprint Medicines, Gold Sponsor, Cogent Biosciences, and content partner, RARE Revolution Magazine.
We’re also encouraging patients and carers from around the world to share their unique messages online. Find out below how you can help make patient voices viral this Awareness Day.

By adding your voice, you’ll help raise understanding, reduce isolation and strengthen the call for better support and research globally.
Share your story:
Film a short video up to 60 seconds long (portrait mode) talking about your life with a mast cell disease.
Post it on your social media and stories on Monday, 20 October.
Tips: Got more to say? Share several videos! Need help? Ask a friend to film.
Use the hashtag #LifeWithMastCellDisease and tag the @mmcdawarenessday and your local mast cell disease support group.

Our goal is simple — to raise awareness, support research, and remind everyone affected that they’re not alone.
