“I was diagnosed with mastocytosis when I was 10 years old.”
Unnoticeable. Unmistakable.
Silvia is 66 years old and lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was diagnosed with mastocytosis at just 10 years old, in 1970, when very little was known about the disease and clinical experience was limited.
For more than five decades, Silvia has lived with the need to manage potential triggers, including sun exposure, insect stings and certain foods.
Over the years, antihistamines have become part of her ongoing treatment. Fortunately, she has avoided major incidents and has found healthcare professionals who have helped guide and support her health and wellbeing.
Silvia’s story highlights the importance of knowledgeable medical care and ongoing support for people living with mastocytosis.
