Oliver

  • UK

“He is an incredible, happy and beautiful little boy”

Oliver was just three and a half months old when his first symptoms appeared. After months of unexplained reactions, he was diagnosed with cutaneous mastocytosis at 16 months old. His parents share the challenges of managing his symptoms while celebrating the happy, adventurous little boy he is.

Unnoticeable. Unmistakable.

A little boy who just wants to play

“Oliver’s first spots appeared after a swimming lesson when he was just 3 and a half months old. That week, the vomiting started along with the flushing skin and the disrupted sleep. No medical professional seemed to know what was wrong with him…He was diagnosed with Cutaneous Mastocytosis at 16 months old. He has developed a lot more spots and has multiple other symptoms including fatigue, flushing, vomiting and pain in his legs. He reacts to lots of different triggers like heat, cold, anxiety and excitement which can be hard to maintain! Despite this, he is an incredible, happy and beautiful little boy who just wants to play and get into mischief.”
